| “Happy, dynamic, passionate and natural; romantic Dalian and attractive beach”, the annual Dalian International Beach Culture Festival has fully explored the abundant coast tourist resources of the beautiful city Dalian, has entirely shown the attractiveness of Dalian as a “romantic city”, has largely extended and expanded the cultural connotation of Dalian three “3s” (Sun, Sand and Sea), and has already become another significant travel and festival brand and also a new city festival based on its features such as popularity, extensive involvement, internationalization and driving power.
Beach Culture Festival focuses on beach culture, which is the most familiar to the public, and highlights the comfortable and pleasant tourist atmosphere. It is held annually on the Golden Coast of the state-level tourist resort Jinshitan in the period from the end of third weekend in July to the end of third weekend in August.
Beach Culture Festival has held lots of rich and colorful activities, which have attracted numerous overseas and domestic tourists to come here to experience personally the “romance and passion”. The theme activities that were held in previous Beach Culture Festivals included: Happy Beach Campaign, China International Autocross, China International Touring Car Exhibition, Sand Sculpture Exhibition, Asia Street Dance Competition, Beach Football & Volleyball Tournament, Swimming Competition, Photograph Competition, Model Competition, Souvenir Design Competition, Carnival and etc.
